The fifth United Nations meeting of non-governmental organizations concluded its session here on the question of Palestine with a call for the early convening of an international peace conference on the Middle East.
The call was contained in a 17-point final declaration that expressed admiration for. “the determination of the Palestinian people in the struggle for independence and the securing of their own state.”
In the declaration, the NGOs drew attention to “the murderous intensification of the daily and continuing suffering and oppression of the Palestinian people since December 1987.”
