Germany marked its Holocaust remembrance day with a dedication of the site for the country’s long-debated national Holocaust memorial. At the ceremony, Nobel Prize-winner and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel called on members of Germany’s Parliament to “ask the Jewish people to forgive the German people for what the Third Reich has done in Germany’s name.”
