Austria’s president delayed approving a new government that includes far-right leader Jorg Haider’s Freedom Party. Thomas Klestil said he would not give the approval until leaders of the coalition pledge to respect democratic values. Meanwhile, more than 10,000 people rallied in Vienna to protest the coalition deal.
