A moderate earthquake shook Eilat, but there were no reports of injuries or damage. The epicenter of the quake was in the Gulf of Aqaba, about 55 miles south of Eilat and nearby Aqaba in Jordan, which also felt the quake. Israeli scientists said the temblor measured 5 on the Richter scale.
