Holocaust survivors in Israel criticized a decision by the Israel Symphony Orchestra to play music by Richard Wagner during a performance in October. In 1991, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra planned to perform a piece by Hitler’s favorite composer, but reversed the decision after subscribers protested.
