A French panel is planning to issue a long-awaited report on Jewish assets seized under the nation’s wartime Vichy regime. The Matteoli Commission, a panel of prominent officials, historians and Jewish community representatives, was expected to hand over the 3,000-page report to Prime Minister Lionel Jospin on Monday.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
