E.U. officials backed the United Nations in its dispute with Lebanon over whether Israel has fully withdrawn from southern Lebanon. At the end of a two- day meeting in Portugal, the officials issued a statement welcoming the Israeli withdrawal and calling on all parties to cooperate with the United Nations.
