Haskell Cohen, a longtime sports columnist for JTA, died June 29 at the age of 86. Among the subjects Cohen covered for JTA in the 1970s and 1980s included America’s oldest living Olympic athlete and the paucity of foreign Jewish players on Israeli basketball teams.
