Israeli Cabinet minister Haim Ramon said he believes a national unity government is possible, but only if the Likud Party is willing to accept Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s peace policies. Likud leader Ariel Sharon said the only course now is to hold new elections. Sharon convened a meeting of opposition leaders to set strategy in the wake of the failed Camp David talks.
