Israeli legislators representing the fervently Orthodox community threatened a boycott of the national airline, El Al, if plans go ahead to allow flights on the Jewish Sabbath. The threats came after Transportation Minister Amnon Lipkin-Shahak said El Al could begin Sabbath flights even before the company is privatized.
