U.S. officials pressed Austria to use a planned $150 million fund to make payments to all Austrian Holocaust survivors whose assets were looted by the Nazis. During talks in Washington, Austrian negotiators said the fund should be used to pay only those survivors whose valuable apartment leases were plundered.
