U.S. Catholic bishops are expected to approve a resolution later this week calling on the United States to work “tirelessly” to revive the Middle East peace process. The resolution, which is being circulated at the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington, also calls for the creation of a Palestinian state and Palestinian acceptance of Israel’s right to exist within secure borders.
