Hamas officials said a Palestinian killed by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip was a member of the group’s military wing. The Israeli army said soldiers opened fire, killing Hani Abu Bakra and wounding two others after one of the men drew a pistol at a checkpoint in southern Gaza.
