Israel’s Sephardi chief rabbi and a Palestinian cleric agreed to create a council of Jewish and Muslim clerics to work for peace, according to the Jerusalem Post. Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron and Sheik Talal Sidr agreed that religious leaders have an obligation to pursue peace.
