The U.S. Army may keep four watercolors painted by Hitler that were seized after World War II, the U.S. Supreme Court said. The high court decided Monday not to accept an appeal brought by the German heirs of the late photographer Heinrich Hoffmann. A lower court had rejected the family’s contention that their father was the victim of wartime art pillaging that involved not only the watercolors but also rare photos of Hitler.
