The Catholic Church’s highest official in Jerusalem called on Israeli and Palestinian leaders to either make peace or resign. “If the present leaders do not succeed in making peace, there is only one solution: Open the way to other leaders. Perhaps they will succeed better where the present ones have failed,” Latin Patriarch Michel Sabbah said Wednesday at his traditional pre-Christmas news conference.
