Hamas and the Palestinian Authority reportedly are vying over who offers more compensation to the families of suicide bombers. Hamas offers a first payment of $10,000, as well as monthly payments to families of suicide bombers or those who die in clashes with Israeli troops, according to the Jerusalem Post. The Palestinian Authority is offering a lump-sum payment of more than $20,000.
