Ariel Sharon took Mahmoud Abbas to task for not cracking down on terrorism. The exchange took place Tuesday, in what both sides described as a solemn second summit. “When we met in Sharm el-Sheik, you agreed to disarm and dismantle the terrorists,” the Israeli prime minister was quoted as telling the Palestinian Authority president, referring to their first summit in February.
