Seymour Finger, a longtime U.S. diplomat who wrote a book on U.S. Jewish groups and the Holocaust, died at age 90. Finger, who died Sunday, had served in the U.S. Mission to the United Nations from 1956 to 1971. In 1984 he wrote “American Jewry During the Holocaust,” published by the American Jewish Commission on the Holocaust, in which Finger concluded that American Jewish organizations had not done enough to prevent the genocide.
