Berlin’s Jewish leader is intensifying efforts to have Europe’s largest Jewish cemetery named a World Heritage Site. Albert Meyer, head of Berlin’s Jewish community, plans to apply to UNESCO so the Weissensee Cemetery can be preserved in perpetuity.
