An estimated 10,000 Palestinians rallied in the Gaza Strip to celebrate Israel’s upcoming withdrawal. “The evacuation of Gaza, their departure, is a step toward Jerusalem,” Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei was quoted as saying at Thursday’s rally.
