Egypt confiscated ammunition bound for Palestinians in Gaza. Egyptian police announced Monday they had discovered 18,000 bullets hidden near a tunnel leading from the Sinai desert into the Gaza Strip. The assumption is that the ammunition was intended for Palestinian terrorist groups. Egypt recently has stepped up efforts to stop arms smuggling into Gaza amid Israeli charges that it wasn’t doing enough.
