Hamas declared an end to its Gaza Strip cease-fire with Israel. In a statement on its Web site Wednesday, the terrorist group’s Izzedin al-Kassam wing said Israeli forces had violated the agreement by killing Islamic Jihad commander Mahmoud Abu Abait earlier that day in Jenin, although the truce did not cover the West Bank. Abait reportedly was behind a planned suicide bombing in Tel Aviv that Israeli troops thwarted Tuesday.
