Resolutions marking Greek independence in both Houses of the U.S. Congress commend Greece for its Israel relations. One resolution passed unanimously in the House of Representatives last week; one is still under consideration in the Senate. Both recognize Greece’s 186th anniversary on March 25 and describe Greece as “located in a region where Christianity meets Islam and Judaism,” and as maintaining “excellent relations with Muslim nations and Israel.”
