Palestinian terrorists
fired at least seven rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel. Wednesday’s salvo,
which caused no damage or casualties, marked a rise in the number of
rockets fired from Gaza. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but
Israeli security sources said they suspect some Palestinian terrorist groups
were seeking to provoke Israel into a round of fighting that could derail Arab
League discussions of the Saudi peace proposal.
