Freedman nears Ms. England crown

Samantha Freedman was named Miss Hertfordshire and will compete in the Miss England pageant in July. The 18-year-old member of the Radlett and Bushey Reform Synagogue beat out 200 other contestants, according to the Web site SomethingJewish.co.uk. Along with her title, Freedman won a 12-month modeling contract. She will enroll at Kingston University next year.
