Israel said it would like Saudi Arabia to participate in future peace talks with the Palestinians.A source in Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s office told the Jerusalem Post that Israel would like other “moderate” regimes to take part in the talks and that Saudi involvement “is what we are looking for.”Olmert is slated to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, as well as the leaders of Egypt and Jordan, at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Monday. At a press conference Thursday, Olmert said the purpose of the summit was to “jointly work to create the platform that may lead to a new beginning between us and the Palestinians.”
