The first edition of Germany’s Jewish parenting magazine “Familienmentsch” hits the stands this month.
According to co-publisher Sandra Anusiewicz-Baer, the quarterly magazine’s purpose is to provide “modern answers to questions about Jewish parenting,” reflecting various Jewish orientations. The first theme is circumcision.
The publication’s website, in German, is http://www.familienmentsch.de/kontakt.html.
Baer, an educator by profession, said she was tired of having to look at English-language websites for tips on Jewish parenting. The new magazine is financed by private donations and a grant from the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
