Two top professionals at the United Jewish Communities stepped down from their posts this week.
Victoria Agron, the senior vice president for development, and Ron Meier, the organization’s senior vice president and founding director of the UJC Mandel Center for Leadership Excellence, both announced that they would leave to pursue positions elsewhere.
Agron served 25 years at UJC, the umbrella organization of north America’s Jewish federation system, and its predecessor, the United Jewish Appeal.
Meier came to UJC five years ago after running the UJA-Federation of Bergen County and North Hudson in New Jersey.
Both left just months after the UJC implemented a strategic operations restructuring plan, which saw Agron’s department folded into another. Following the restructuring plan Doron Krakow, the UJC’s senior vice president for Israel and overseas, quit his post.
