An Orthodox Jewish teenager was beaten in Lakewood, N.J., in what appears to be an anti-Semitic attack.
The 14-year-old boy was attacked as he walked home Saturday night. He told police he heard the attackers say “Jew” before they struck, according to the Star Ledger of Newark.
Police say they are investigating the assault as religiously motivated.
An Orthodox rabbi was beaten in Lakewood, which has a large fervently Orthodox population, on Oct. 9 on his way to synagogue. Police said they do not think the two attacks are related.
