Tel Aviv ranked low in capital survey

Tel Aviv ranked near last in a survey of world capitals by Britain’s Independent newspaper.

Tel Aviv was ranked 51 out of 60 in a survey by the paper. London was ranked No. 1, with New York and Paris in second and third places.

The survey used 14 criteria, including population, transportation systems, number of times the city has hosted the Olympics, symphony orchestras and the number of hits on Google.

Israel’s capital is Jerusalem, but few countries recognize it as such.
