New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg will begin analyzing data to decide whether to launch a presidential bid.

 

The extensive data collection in all 50 states began months ago, but no conclusions have yet been drawn, according to The Associated Press. Rumors have been circulating that Bloomberg, who is Jewish, would run for the presidency as an independent.

 

Bloomberg, 65, will make a decision by March, according to CNN. Formerly a Democrat, Bloomberg was elected mayor as a Republican.

The founder of Bloomberg LP, a financial news and information service, he has an estimated wealth of $11.5 billion.
