A rocket attack on northern Israel has drawn the condemnation of the U.N. Security Council.
Libya’s ambassador to the United Nations, the current president of the council, fought the resolution’s adoption for 48 hours, Ha’aretz reported. The resolution, adopted Friday, came in response to a Katyusha rocket attack on the northern Israeli town of Shlomi Tuesday which caused light damage to a house. No injuries were reported.
The council also condemned a roadside bombing that wounded two U.N. soldiers stationed in southern Lebanon on Tuesday and called for a stricter delineation of the so-called ‘Blue Line’, the U.N.-designated boundary between Israel and Lebanon.
