Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian gunman near the Gaza Strip’s border.
The Al-Aksa Brigades gunman was shot early Thursday as he approached the border fence in south Gaza. There were no Israeli casualties.
Israel stepped up a military offensive against Palestinian rocket crews and roving gunmen this month but snowstorms in recent days have curtailed the violence.
