Three men extradited to the United States for allegedly planning to blow up a New York City-area airport pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Kareem Ibrahim, Abdul Kadir and Abdel Nur are accused of plotting in 2007 to blow up the John F. Kennedy International Airport by planting bombs near its fuel supply tanks.
They were denied bail during their appearance Wednesday in a Brooklyn federal court following their extradition to New York the day before from Trinidad and Tobago.
An American citizen, a former cargo worker at Kennedy Airport, had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Nur and Kadir are citizens of Guyana, where Kadir served as a member of parliament. Ibrahim is a citizen of Trinidad.
