JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s army believes that the southern city of Ashdod could soon be in the cross hairs of Gaza Strip terrorists.
The Israel Defense Forces Home Front Command on Monday distributed pamphlets across the city, located just north of Ashkelon, a city that has been hit by Kassam and Katyusha rockets. The pamphlets inform residents how to prepare themselves to handle rocket fire from Gaza.
Gaza terrorists in recent years have significantly increased the range of their rockets. New rumors allege that Hamas has rockets that can hit Israeli targets nearly 19 miles away.
