WASHINGTON (JTA) — Palestinian and Israeli negotiators are meeting in Washington.

The Cable, a news Web site hosted by Foreign Policy Magazine, reported Wednesday that Martin Indyk, the director of the Saban Institute and a former top Clinton administration Middle East policy figure, is hosting the closed talks. The three days of talks started Tuesday evening.

Indyk remains in the "think tank" sector but maintains close ties with President Clinton’s wife and now Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
