Here’s a novel suggestion that would slow the haredization of Jerusalem from an unlikely source: Rabbi Yaakov Yosef, son of Shas spiritual leader Ovadia Yosef, proposes that unmarried haredi men over the age of 20 be banished from Jerusalem as punishment for "their refusal to marry and provide for a family," Ynet reports.

The Israeli city of Kiryat Gat is considering changing its flag because it looks to much like the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ynet reports.

The Israeli Arab city of Nazareth hopes the pope’s upcoming visit will be a boon to tourism, the Washington Post reports.
