JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel’s foreign minister was set to leave on an official visit to London.
Avigdor Lieberman was scheduled to leave Tuesday for London, according to a statement from his office.
He is scheduled to meet with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband and Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague. Lieberman also is scheduled to meet with leaders of the Jewish community.
Lieberman is on a tour of Europe as part of the dialogue between Israel and the European Union over the Israeli government’s new policy on restarting peace negotiations, according to the Foreign Ministry. Last week he visited with Italy’s prime minister and foreign minister, as well as the foreign ministers of France, German, and the Czech Republic.
