JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian teenager stabbed an Israeli soldier at a checkpoint near Nablus.
The soldier was lightly wounded in Tuesday morning’s attack. His attacker, a 13-year-old male, was arrested.
The assailant entered the checkpoint through the humanitarian lane set up for Palestinians who need immediate medical attention, the Jerusalem Post reported. Those waiting in the line bypass the regular security inspection.
The attack comes after several recent incidents in which Palestinian teens were caught at checkpoints carrying knives.
