JERUSALEM (JTA) — A Palestinian family was quarantined after testing positive for swine flu.
Some 11 family members living a village near Nablus tested positive over the weekend, likely infected by a family member who returned from the United States last week, according to reports.
The family visited the local mosque before the diagnoses, raising fears in the village of 3,900 people that the virus will spread.
Palestinian security forces, their mouths covered with medical masks, have surrounded the family compound to prevent the spread of the disease, according to reports.
