In the wake of concerns about the spread of the H1N1 virus, doctors in Israel are issuing recommendations to avoid kissing mezuzahs, Ynet reports. In order that the practice not be discarded entirely, Israel’s Sephardic chief rabbi ruled that mezuzahs must be air-kissed.
