JERUSALEM (JTA) — Thousands of fervently Orthodox demonstrators in Jerusalem protested against Intel, which operates a plant in the city on Saturdays.
During Sunday evening’s protest, two police officers were injured by rocks thrown by demonstrators. Two protesters were also arrested.
While Sunday’s demonstration was relatively calm, in past demonstrations, protesters have thrown stones at police officers and civilian vehicles, attacked reporters and called police officers Nazis.
