Jeffrey Goldberg on what to do when Ben Ami Jeremy pops up on your phone screen:
I don’t know about "most observers," but most reporters — not "right-wing" reporters, just reporters — are waiting for Jeremy Ben-Ami to apologize for misleading them personally and repeatedly. Does he get a pass after that? Probably.
"Pass," I’ll elaborate — speaking for myself — means not for his policies or his strategies. We report these, we don’t defend or judge these.
"Pass" means when someone says "Jeremy Ben Ami says the sky is blue" I don’t jerk my neck upwards.
