Bibi’s GA timing — Iran related?

Benjamin Netanyahu canceled his planned appearance next week at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly.

I was told the reason had to do with conflicts with the commemoration of Yitzhak Rabin’s 1995 assassination.

At least one JTA reader tweeted wonderment at the excuse — wouldn’t Netanyahu have known months in advance of the Rabin commemoration dates?

Now, Jeffrey Goldberg. at the Atlantic, insinuates another theory: the International Atomic Energy Agency is due to release its latest Iran-nuclear analysis next Tuesday.

If the report is damning, might it provide a pretext for some action by Israel?
