(JTA) — Some 500 Palestinian protesters rioted outside the West Bank Jewish settlement of Ofra.

The crowd threw rocks at police and army forces stationed outside the settlement, and they fired tear gas canisters back at the protesters, Israeli Army Radio reported. No one was hurt in the riots.

In the neighbourhood of Abu Dis in eastern Jerusalem, Palestinians threw two homemade bombs and several firebombs at a company of Border Guard troops, who returned fire with crowd-dispersal means.

Earlier Friday, Palestinians hurled stones at Israeli troops near Ramallah as dozens of Palestinians staged riots in nearby villages.
