As relations between Israel and Turkey continue to deteriorate, Yad Vashem is to hold a Holocaust education seminar at a university in Istanbul this week, according to the Times of Israel.

The seminar, part of Yad Vashem’s effort to improve understanding of the Holocaust in the Muslim, is taking place amid reports that members of Turkey’s Jewish community are leaving the country because of increasing anti-Semitism, the newspaper reported.

Some 20 Turkish academics are expected to attend the seminar at Galatasaray University on Thursday. The participants are scheduled to visit Jerusalem for a week-long seminar at Yad Vashem next June.
