The Jewish journalist who took to the streets of Paris wearing a small white kippah and tzizit received far worse than catcalls.
Days after a gunman in Copenhagen opened fire on a synagogue, a video uploaded to YouTube on Monday shows Zvika Klein, of the Jewish media outlet NRG, subjected to a barrage of anti-Semitic hatred, epithets and death threats as he walks through the streets of Paris in traditional Jewish garb.
“Doesn’t he know he will be killed?” one little boy asked his mother, a hijab-clad woman.
Older men were recorded telling Klein, "Go f— from the front and the back," "Viva Palestine" and "Hey you, with the kippa, what are you doing here?"
The disturbing footage imitates the viral video taken by Shoshana Roberts, the 24-year-old Jewish woman who recorded being harassed more than 100 times by men in New York City’s streets after walking around in jeans a black t-shirt for 10 hours. The video has since been viewed nearly 40 million times.
In both videos, a hidden camera captures the comments of bystanders.
