The razed home was an apartment in a building in the northern West Bank village of Bartaa. Only Kabha’s apartment was destroyed.
Kabha said he intended to murder soldiers, according to the Israel Security Agency, after first calling the attack an accident.
The incident took place on a day designated as a Day of Rage to protest 100 days after President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. A coalition of Palestinian groups, including Hamas, had called for confrontations with soldiers and settlers after Friday prayers on that day.
Kabha was released from an Israeli prison in April 2017.
