Rabbi Marc Schneier will speak at a Memphis ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s death.
Schneier, the president of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, will also take part in a symbolic march to the Lorraine Hotel, the Memphis hotel where King was assassinated in April 1968.
An authority on black-Jewish relations, Schneier’s organization, which is co-headed by black music mogul Russell Simmons, is also heavily involved in promoting Jewish-Muslim dialogue.
